Community Recovery Through Support Networks
Fostering Relationships to Prevent Suicidal Thoughts and Behaviors
In the continuous pursuit of preventing suicidal thoughts and actions, community assistance is essential. At Here Tomorrow, we hold the belief that healing starts with connection, comprehension, and empathetic dialogue. Our no-cost, immediate support groups aim to foster secure, inclusive environments where people can express themselves, feel acknowledged, and receive the necessary care without obstacles.
Mental Health Hydration, our weekly face-to-face support group, gathers every Monday and Thursday from 5:30 to 6:30 PM at The Meeting Place located in Neptune Beach. Accessible to the community, this group adopts a person-focused method, allowing anyone to discuss their mental health issues or just to be in a secure, welcoming environment. Facilitated by qualified peer support specialists, this group emphasizes confidentiality, respect, and a sense of belonging.
Our On Your 6 team offers online assistance for military personnel and first responders each Tuesday and Wednesday from 2:00 to 3:00 PM. This group is tailored for individuals in service—whether active or retired—and provides a forum to discuss the distinct challenges they encounter, including the shift to civilian life and achieving balance between family and career. Support from peers originates from individuals who have been in your position.
The Teen Girls Support Group for adolescents gathers every other Tuesday from 5:30 to 6:30 PM at our Neptune Beach site. This group is available for girls aged 13–17, promoting connection via discussions led by teens and facilitated by Here Tomorrow’s experts. It is an environment for developing confidence, community, and coping strategies during a delicate phase of life
Melanin Minds, taking place on the last Tuesday of each month, provides a blended support choice for individuals who recognize themselves as belonging to the Black community. This group aims to normalize conversations about mental health in a cultural frame, dismantling stigma and fostering empowerment through collective experiences and genuine emotional expression.
Every one of these groups plays a crucial part in promoting resilience and avoiding isolation, both of which are important in the prevention of suicidal thoughts and behaviors. Regardless of your history or challenges, Here Tomorrow provides a space where you are recognized, appreciated, and never isolated.
